ClickMagick in One Minute
ClickMagick is tracking software for people who send traffic to offers and want to know which clicks turn into money. It started in 2014 as a link tracker for affiliate marketers and solo ad buyers, and has grown into a full ad tracking and attribution platform that follows visitors from an ad or link all the way to a sale, including sales that happen on another device or over the phone.
The value is simple: when you can see which ads, emails, solo ad vendors or links produce sales, you can stop paying for the ones that don't. Plans start at $79 a month, there's a 14-day free trial, and new customers get a 30-day money-back guarantee. This review covers what it does, what it costs and who it suits.

What ClickMagick Does
At its core, ClickMagick answers one question: where did this sale come from? It does that in a few connected ways.
| Feature | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Smart Links (tracking links) | Short tracking links for affiliate offers, emails and solo ads, with click stats and filtering |
| Rotators | Split traffic between several links, including settings built for solo ad sellers |
| TrueTracking | Its core attribution system, tying clicks, conversions and customer journeys together |
| Conversion and sales tracking | Records leads and sales and credits them to the right ad or link, including offline and phone sales on higher plans |
| Cross-device tracking | Follows visitors who click on one device and buy on another |
| Audience Optimization | Sends first-party conversion data back to ad platforms to help them optimize |
| Bot and click-fraud filtering | Flags or blocks bots and low-quality clicks, with fuller protection on Standard and Pro |
| Auto cost updates | Pulls in ad spend so you can see profit and return on ad spend |
| Daily insights email | A morning summary of what to scale, fix or pause |
| Integrations | Major ad platforms, Shopify, Zapier, webhooks, an API and mobile apps |
ClickMagick Features in More Detail
Smart Links and Sub-IDs
Smart Links are ClickMagick's tracking links. You can add up to five Sub-IDs to the end of a link, such as /youtube/description, and see your stats broken down by each one, which is handy when one link appears in several places. For the most detailed data, ClickMagick recommends separate links for each traffic source, with Sub-IDs for finer breakdowns. Links can also send mobile visitors to a different URL.
Rotators
A rotator is a single link that spreads clicks across several destination URLs, useful for promoting several offers with one link or sharing traffic between partners. ClickMagick offers four rotator modes, a backup URL for when no destination is eligible, and per-URL settings such as click caps and, for solo ad sellers, a minimum share of top-tier traffic. Rotators aren't meant for split testing; that's handled separately.
Split Testing
ClickMagick's TrueTracking platform includes a dedicated split-testing function for comparing landing pages, so you can send traffic to two versions of a page and see which converts better.
Retargeting Pixels on Links
You can attach retargeting pixels from ad platforms to your tracking links. Anyone who clicks can then be shown your ads later, even if the link pointed to a page you don't own, such as an affiliate offer.
Conversion Tracking and Postbacks
On pages you control, a tracking script records leads and sales. For affiliate networks, ClickMagick uses postback URLs so sales are reported back automatically. On ClickBank, this is called the "Instant Notification URL," and it uses a secret key for security. That's how ClickMagick can show which link produced each commission.
Custom Tracking Domains
You can use your own domain for tracking links. This matters most on social media: ClickMagick doesn't allow its shared domains to be posted openly on social sites, so you'll need a custom domain to share links there outside of paid ads and private messages. It also makes links look more trustworthy.
What ClickMagick Doesn't Do
ClickMagick removed domain cloaking, which hides the real destination in the address bar, because ad networks and platforms treat it as deceptive. It's a tracker, not a page builder, autoresponder or traffic source, so you'll still need those separately.
Who ClickMagick Is For
- Affiliate marketers promoting offers from networks such as ClickBank, who need to know which traffic sources convert.
- Solo ad buyers comparing vendors on real results, not just click counts. See our guide on how to track solo ads.
- Media buyers running Meta, Google, YouTube or TikTok ads who don't trust platform-reported numbers.
- Course creators, coaches and ecommerce stores that sell through funnels and want sales tied to the right campaign.
- Agencies managing several client accounts.
If you aren't sending traffic anywhere yet, you don't need a tracker. ClickMagick earns its keep once you're spending time or money on traffic and need to decide where to put more.

The Free Trial and Money-Back Guarantee
ClickMagick offers a 14-day free trial, available to anyone who hasn't had an account in the past six months. On top of that, new customers are covered by a no-questions-asked 30-day money-back guarantee on charges from the last 30 days, which also covers you if you forget to cancel after the trial. The guarantee applies to your first account only. Details are in our ClickMagick free trial guide.
Why Tracking Matters If You Buy Traffic
Ad platforms and solo ad vendors report their own numbers, and those numbers don't always match what reaches your page or what buys. A tracker gives you one independent record. With ClickMagick you can see, for each source:
- How many real, unique clicks arrived, after bots and repeats are filtered.
- How many became leads and customers.
- How much each source cost and how much revenue it produced.
That turns guesswork into decisions: buy more from the solo ad vendor whose clicks convert, and stop the ad set that only looks good inside the ad platform. If you promote affiliate links, the FTC's Endorsement Guides still require you to disclose your affiliate relationships wherever you share them.
Support and Training
| Plan | Support |
|---|---|
| Starter | Basic online support |
| Standard | Upgraded support plus a one-on-one onboarding call |
| Pro | Everything in Standard |
All plans include a setup wizard, a large knowledge base with step-by-step articles, and mobile apps for checking stats on the go.

What Customers Like and Dislike
ClickMagick has a large number of positive Trustpilot reviews, with customers often praising its support, accuracy and bot filtering. The most common drawbacks mentioned are the learning curve, because there are many settings, and that live chat isn't included on the Starter plan.
Is ClickMagick Legit?
Yes. ClickMagick is a long-running software company, in business since 2014, with a public pricing page, a free trial and a written refund policy. It's not a "make money" program: it's a tool that helps you measure campaigns you're already running.
ClickMagick vs. the Alternatives
The main alternatives are Hyros, built for established businesses spending heavily on ads; Voluum and RedTrack, aimed at media buyers running large campaigns; and free options such as UTM tags with Google Analytics. For affiliates and solo ad buyers who want accurate tracking without enterprise pricing, ClickMagick is the most practical fit. See our full list of ClickMagick alternatives.
