Vasayo Review (2026): What Happened to the MLM From MonaVie's Founder
On This Page
Vasayo in One Minute
Vasayo was a supplement multi-level marketing company launched in 2016 by Dallin Larsen and his wife, Karree. Dallin Larsen is best known as the founder of MonaVie, the açaí juice MLM that grew to huge sales in the late 2000s before declining and being sold to another MLM in 2015. Vasayo sold nutritional supplements, promoted around an advanced delivery technology, through independent distributors.
In February 2023, Vasayo told its distributors it was shutting down its MLM opportunity. Distributors said Daniel Picou, a former top Vasayo leader, had taken over and was launching a new company called Three. If you are researching Vasayo because someone pitched it to you, this review explains what happened and what to watch for when a former MLM's leaders start again.

The MonaVie Background
To understand Vasayo, it helps to know MonaVie. MonaVie sold an açaí berry juice blend through an MLM and became one of the fastest-growing direct selling companies of its time, reporting sales in the hundreds of millions of dollars. It was criticized for high prices and for income figures showing that very few distributors earned meaningful money. Its sales fell sharply, and in 2015 it was sold to Jeunesse.
Vasayo launched the following year with a familiar structure: premium-priced products sold through a distributor network that pays for recruiting and team volume.
How Vasayo Worked
Vasayo sold supplements for sleep, energy, cognitive health and general wellness, many of them marketed around a special delivery method meant to improve absorption. Distributors bought at wholesale, earned retail profit, and built teams to earn commissions on team volume, with the usual monthly order needed to stay qualified. Products were sold at premium prices typical of MLM supplements.
- Join as a distributor and set up a monthly product order.
- Sell to customers and earn retail profit.
- Recruit distributors and earn on team volume.
- Reach higher ranks for bonuses based on your organization's size.
What Happened in 2023
Around February 11, 2023, Vasayo told distributors on a webinar that it was shutting down its MLM opportunity. The company gave no public explanation. At about the same time, Vasayo's website ran a 50% off sale.
Distributors said Daniel Picou, a top Vasayo leader, had bought out the Larsens and was launching a new company, Three, with a prelaunch beginning around February 20, 2023. Another top Vasayo distributor started a separate company. Some former distributors said they were left with unpaid commissions, although we could not verify those reports.
What This Means If You Are Pitched a Successor
When an MLM closes and its leaders launch something new, former distributors are often invited to "move over" with their teams. Before you join any successor company:
- Ask who owns it, where it is registered and who its executives are.
- Ask for the compensation plan and an income disclosure in writing.
- Find out whether any money you were owed by the old company will be paid, and by whom.
- Be cautious of "prelaunch" positions that ask for money before products or a pay plan are clear.
The FTC's guidance on multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes is a useful checklist for any new opportunity.
Was Vasayo a Scam?
Vasayo was a real company that sold real products, and we found no regulator action against it. But it ended its MLM opportunity abruptly in 2023, with no public explanation, and distributors were left to choose between successor companies. Its founder's previous company followed a similar rise-and-decline pattern. We would not join Vasayo or follow its leaders into a new venture without careful checks.
Pros and Cons
What Stands Out

What to Weigh Up
- MLM opportunity shut down in February 2023

- Distributors steered toward successor companies
- Founder's previous MLM followed a similar pattern
Who Vasayo Might Suit
As of 2026, Vasayo's MLM opportunity is closed, so it does not suit anyone looking to join. If you are being invited into a successor company, use the checklist above first.
